100 Romanian Companies: Designing the First Reference Cohort
Before scaling to a national dataset, the first cohort should expose ingestion errors, classification ambiguity, retrieval failure and weak business assumptions.
What changed?
This article starts from an observable business or architectural change, not from AI hype. The production version will attach named sources, capture time and evidence objects to each material claim.
Why should a business care?
The question is not whether a technology is interesting. The question is whether it changes discovery, demand, cost, risk, competition, customer behaviour or the firm's ability to act.

What do we test?
BEFORE state → signal → prediction → intervention (if approved) → AFTER state. The result is classified as confirmed, partial, refuted or inconclusive. Failure remains part of the record.
Evidence contract
Production records should include source IDs, canonical content hash, Git commit, SHA-256, OpenTimestamps receipt/status, author, publication time and verification time. A timestamp proves chronology; it does not prove that the underlying claim is true.
